So I'm not...hmm glad is not the right word...let's try again.
I think it's good for him and his family that he didn't turn out to have a heart attack. But I had to post this because he was standing in shorts in front of the press blabbering away on my local news station on New Year's Day.
Rush Limbaugh you are such a jackass.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Support from friends really means a lot.
Everything continues to go well. Dad was being made to get out of bed and be mobile and he seemed to be taking that stoically well. Yesterday he got to actually eat...liquid diet but still he ate everything. Good sign. I think he's ready to go home.
Weird happening. Just as we had maneuvered him into bed, all the lights went out. Very weird. It's a hospital so obviously there was power in some places but unfortunately not for the elevators or some of the hallways. Had to walk around the dark corridors then down seven looooong flights of steps. Oh well, at least we weren't the unfortunate nurses who had to walk up the flight of steps (we passed them in the stairwells). Seems the power went out during a shift change. Still the staff were trying to help everyone along. I have to say the staff at Queen's Medical Center are very, very helpful.
Gotta scoot.

Okay, everything went fine yesterday. Dad is doing well. For those who weren't sure what this was all about...Dad had surgery for cancer yesterday. Doc said the surgery went well and Dad seems to be good but tired.
Thanks for everyone who sent good wishes.
Gotta scoot.

Hope you have a wonderful birthday. The whole country celebrates it with you.
It is an odd thing when your state makes national news for being targeted with a missle by a crazy country. But you know, please still come to Hawaii because it's no big deal.

My aunt, my father's sister passed away yesterday. My family and I went to visit her two weeks ago. Saying goodbye to her that last time was tough because I think we all knew it was the last time. But I know she was in constant pain from the cancer and I know that now she is in a better place now. There's so many memories that have been coming to me these last few months but I haven't found a way to put them into words. I hope I will be able to soon. I miss her already.
Bye Aunty Carol. I love you.

My computer is working again!
Now, do I honestly want to read one month's worth of old posts? Decisions, decisions.

First and maybe only post of 2008 and it's a meme. Go figure. But it totally amused me how off it seemed. But I let those who know me be the judge.
